Well I’ve found my local chinese takeaway, that’s for sure!
The location is basically perfect for us. It’s bang in the middle between Crayford Station and our house, opposite the industrial park with the Boots and Pets at Home etc, and although unassuming from the outside (and weirdly named considering it’s at 106 Crayford Road…), it’s delicious.
We ordered capital spare ribs, chicken satay, two portions of sweet and sour chicken Hong Jong style, some vegetarian spring rolls and pineapple fritters with syrup and it was ALL good.
I’ve been hunting for decent capital spare ribs since I fell in love with them at Dragon City in Canterbury and had no luck, but these were perfect. You get at least six or seven in a portion and plenty of sauce too for prawn cracker dipping. Yuuum.
The sweet and sour chicken was a decent portion too, and also VERY saucy. Probably a bit too saucy for the amount of rice we had… it was saturated within a second. I’ll be pouring less into my bowl next time. But that’s not a bad problem to have.
The pineapple fritters were too good, too. Like, I could eat a bowl of those every day. I shouldn’t… but I could.
The whole thing came to about £25 for basically a huge Chinese blowout for two and I have no regrets whatsoever. I’ll be back, 128!
Delivery was estimated at 45 minutes but it only took half an hour too. Bonus.
