Poplars Nursery Garden Centre

Quite amazed at the other two reviews. My wife drags me around garden centres all over the three counties and both she and I agree that Poplars is the best of all. Every member of staff that I have spoken to has been really friendly and helpful. When we eat at the restaurant/​coffee shop we usually try to get in early as it is always very busy. Really good value!
Prices are very comparable with other similar stores, sometimes cheaper. I sounded around at work to see what other people there thought and many were regular visitors to Poplars as they really like it.
As someone who is not green fingered, unlike my wife, it’s great to have a variety of products. Poplars also do a lot for local organisations and schools with events in their Learning Centre.

Poplars has increased in size, its huge, they even sell furniture now, its lost somthing in its service to customers due to its growth. Its not the garden centre it used to be and I no longer enjoy my visits there and usually choose to shop elsewhere.

Over priced on most things. Staff totally ignore you and chat to each other like you were not there. The snack bar is very expensive, you wait ages. Most of the food is tasteless. I pointed out to a ‘manager’ that a sign on some garden seeds was misleading and he was very sarcastic. Poor on price and service.
