Ok so I shouldn’t expect a lot from a low end chain but, more fool me, I was here and hungry and fell for the reasonable prices and reasonably tempting menu. We managed to get the 2 for £10 offer having queued for rather too long considering the number of staff behind the bar who were under employed. The party member who sampled the Chicken Tikka said that it was OK and the two who had smothered chicken(apparently same as hunters chicken) allowed that it ‘filled a spot’ The children’s chicken nuggets did seem to contain some chicken and the chips were chunky and very chip like. One of the children had ordered pizza and, we and surrounding tables were appalled to see her served a pizza about the size of a pitta bread on it’s own on the plate for £3.95(admittedly when we complained the chap had the grace to be embarrassed, pointed out that the restaurant can only serve what Whitbread tells them to and gave us a refund). I was tempted by the very reasonably priced ‘all you can eat’ Chinese buffet but when I started in on it I found that all i could eat, due to having taste buds, was a small portion of beef and mushroom and a few mouthfuls of sweet and sour chicken which was neither sweet, sour or edible. The spring rolls were very greasy and the prawn crackers were just weird. The addition of drinks brought the bill up a bit but at least they were bottomless.
