Absolute Escapes

Never planning my own vacation again if I don’t have to.
In brief: AE booked us an excellent, memorable trip and provided us with ample resources to make the most of our time everywhere we went. I hope I never have to plan my own itinerary ever again, because AE did a better job than I could have.
What a pain it is to plan a two week vacation months ahead of time. I don’t want to call a car rental place, or book ferry slots between islands, or do all the research required to find decent accommodations, especially when planning a trip in a country on the other side of the world. Planning our trip to Scotland was stressing me out, and I was putting it off. Then, thank heavens, I encountered Absolute Escapes.
They booked us a nice car right near the Glasgow motorway, so that I could adjust to driving in the UK with minimal bother, and they arranged for me to return it to Edinburgh so we wouldn’t have to retrace our steps. They planned all our ferry routes and booked us tickets, and they put together a detailed itinerary with times, places, and booklets with maps and activities. They suggested restaurants, most of which were spot on, as well as hikes and other ideas for ways to spend our time.
They did all this while working within the budget I gave them, adjusting accommodations and routes to make sure we didn’t overspend on our holiday. Also, judging from the prices of ferry tickets, B&B accommodations, and car hire fees, they didn’t even charge that high a rate to put our plan together. I wholeheartedly endorse Absolute Escapes, as they put together a truly memorable Hebridean Isle vacation.
