I really liked this charity shop on a recent trip to stockbridge. While I went with the intention of picking up a bargain woolly jumper, I came across an absolutely gorgeous tea-pot which to my surprise and delight matches a set of tea cups I picked up on a trip to Jordon (would you believe i’m only in my 20s, I know. bare with me). The best thing was, the teapot costs £2. In the excitement of buying said tea-pot I forgot to look at jumpers… ah well, another time.

This is one of the better charity shops in Edinburgh, with a substantial men’s selection and great condition clothes, unlike most similar stores I have been in. The women’s selection is also very large, and my OH said it had a lot of interesting items.
The prices are very reasonable (it is for charity after all), and the entire shop has a cheerful and comfortable atmosphere, not at all grim or undecorated. A great place to browse, Age Concern also benefits from friendly volunteer staff and a good amount of non-clothes items and knick-knacks. The changing room is a bit unusual (have a look for yourself!), but in general this is one of your best bets in the Stockbridge area.
