This place is really big. Like hugeee with big old high ceilings that give it a really formal and swanky feel. It also happens to serve some damn good Italian food, and by which I mean like reaallyyy good food. Probably some of the best pasta I’ve had at a restaurant in a while!
Service is quick and polite, and the menu has a lot of options. Normally I get put off by large menus, but actually, every item I spotted is quite different to every thing else, and narrowing it down was quite easy in the end.
For two people we had 2 courses, a nice bottle of red and it cost around 65 quid altogether which is pretty good value. The portions were fairly generous as well and I left feeling more than satisfied.
All in all, a great venue and restaurant, and especially for those on dates or celebrations!

I was with a tour group and expected the experience to be nothing memorable… but I was pleasantly surprised to find this to be a first class dining experience. Even though with a group, there was great beverage service followed by a 3-​course meal with a varied choice for each course. Service was prompt and attentive. The food was among the best I had in any restaurant throughout the U.K. I will be back in Edinburgh next summer and this is on my «must-​go» list. The noise level is rather high was my only complaint.

The rain was awful and we were starving so we went into the first place we walked by. We were the only people in here for about 10m and then it was packed. We did the two course. The caprese salad was good but the salmon over mashed potatoes was blah. I wouldn’t recommend it but it wasn’t the worst food I’ve ever had.

Ein sehr schickes Restaurant im Herzen einer ebenso schicken Stadt.
Die Karte ist vielfältig und auch Vegetarier finden hier etwas. Das Ambiente ist stylisch und hat Charakter.
Das Essen war immer sehr gut (Die Pizza ist allerdings recht groß) und die Bedienung immer äußerst freundlich.
Nur zu empfehlen!

Haben dort nach einer kleinen Rundreise den letzten Abend hier verbracht, nach vielem einheimischem Essen war es uns nach einem Italiner und der hier, kann mit den Besten auf dem Kontinent jederzeit mithalten. Klasse Pizza und Nudeln, sowie tolle Weine, dass hat aber seinen Preis. Das Ampiente ist sehr schön, das Restaurant ist Perfekt eingerichtet, dass Personal einfach Spitze !

Sehr stylischer Italiener mit guter Karte, sehr schönem Ambiente und hervorragender Bedienung. Toller Thekenbereich und eine offene Küche runden das Bild ab. Das Gebäude einer ehemaligen Bank wurde gekonnt in ein Restaurant der oberen Mittelklasse verwandelt. Tendenz zur Oberklasse.
