This store is great if like myself, you’re furbishing a flat. As I moved into my new place I had little cash to spare but didn’t fancy my room to be kitted out entirely in IKEA. Barnardos to the rescue! I picked up a great, vintage-​looking dressing table and the perfect coffee table. Both look great in my new place and they were very cheap too. It’s great to reuse furniture and donate to charity when you can.

This is a wonderful shop with a wide range of good quality secondhand goods, including a large selection of clothes, shoes & books. However the best thing about this Barnado’s is the furniture section, which is spread over two additional shops adjacent to the main shop. A great place to pick up lovely cheap bits of furniture. They used to keep beds and tables/​chairs upstairs but I’m not sure if this is still the case. The best pieces of furniture are often in the windows, and are often already reserved by other customers. This shop also has a bridal section by appointment with a large selection of bridal wears, bridesmaids dresses and accessories including shoes. Wonderful!
