Clambers

Clambers and the Commonwealth pool are currently being refurbished and are closed unfortunately until 2011. Looking forward to it reopening. This review is based on pre-​closure Clambers:
Really nice soft play area in the Royal Commonwealth Pool. It used to be a big pirate ship but that’s gone now and the whole thing made over. Great facility with lots of climbing, rolling and sliding. Let your wee ones use up all their energy while you have a coffee in the seating area. There’s a coffee/​food place in there so you can have a refreshment there too. The soft play area has a good space for babies and toddlers, and a small enclosed football pitch for soft ball play.
It’s a good place to have a child’s birthday party. The staff were very helpful at ours, and the food was good. They had nice activities for the children, our lot all got tattoos (not real, glad to say)

Clambers soft play is based inside the Royal Commonwealth pool. It is a huge soft play area for kids. It has been completely refurbished and it fabulous.
They now have an area for under-​5s which is very contained so hard for little ones to escape! Next to this is a larger area where under-​5s can go, but only with an adult accompanying them. There is also a small area for children under 18 months.
Only problem is that some parents let their under-​5s children run around without any supervision so if you are with your child be prepared to end up helping little ones climb in and out of the ball pits etc. plus you may have to stop older children trying to come in to the under-​5 area.
They also hold brill birthday parties. They are one of the more expensive party places in Edinburgh but have a great range of healthy food.
Otherwise a great place to take the kids and let them use all their energy up.
