Dunedin Property Management

This property management is the worst property management I have ever rented a flat from. They are incompetent and leaving people with urgent repairs for weeks. When I reported that there is a leak from the washing machine that might affect my neighbours downstairs they ignored it. Fortunately there was a flood only on my kitchen floor. A couple of months later, the boiler was broken, as usual I phoned them and did not get any response for a week. When I called them again, they sent an engineer after next five working days. Then, I waited for landlord’s permission to exchange the faulty part in the boiler. It took them 2.5 week to get it done. The heaters, in the corridor and the living room which were reported broken last year in December, and twice this year, are still not fixed. Now, It’s almost 4 weeks that my washing machine is standing in the middle of the kitchen waiting for the exchange. The reporting process was the same as last time with the boiler. I contacted my layer today. I have an advice to whoever decides to take a flat from this company: If you are not an engineer, better find a flat in different agency.

Just been reading threw these reviews! Think it’s totally shocking and discussing! Iv been dealing with christine for a few years now and think she is very kind and helpful! Never had any problem with her what’s so ever! Maybe these people have to relies they are not the only tenants Christine has to deal with! Sounds like there life’s are that boring they have to moan at every slight thing! If it wasn’t for Christine I would probably be homeless! Couldn’t of dealt with anyone better!

It takes this company an age to do anything, the woman who deals with the front desk think she’s doing you a favour when she answers the phone, there is always and excuse with her, she has no communication skills whatsoever, she never once called me back with a solution, I had to chase her up every day to see what was happening, she never returns calls, I have spoken to other people who rent property from Dunedin and they all have similar stories.

This is a dreadful company, I would give it no stars if this was an option. FLat was absolutlely filfhty on move in day despite promises that it would be cleaned. Very efficient at taking deposit and rent but very unhelpful when there are any problems. It took FOUR months to get our shower fixed, endless phonecalls were met with endless pathetic excuses and very dismissive attitude even from manager. Dishwasher also 2 months to fix.
At six months inspection staff member was very rude and accusatory. Luckily have inventory and dated photographs of everything. Totally unprofessional.

When i rented from Dunedin they were all smiles and happy faces when I was signing the lease and paying the deposit and first months rent upfront.
I moved into the flat which needed sone painting done, they asked me if i wanted to do it, I think not, they then sent a decorator who painted a wall in half a day, spent most of his time on his phone and left the mess for us to clean up, paint on floor etc, they next day he never appeared and when i called Dunedin i was told «his wifes had a baby last month and he’s tired».
Second problem was a broken oven, reported to Christine on the Monday, expecting a call back and excuses all week, 10 days later they sent an engineer who advised a part was needed, I then had to call back again and he (the engineer) was off sick, so eventually another guy arrived and fitted the part, 25 days without an oven.
Im my opinion certain people in the office are useless at dealing any problems with the flat, If i was a lardlord I would never let them handle my property.

Very poor service from Dunedin
A 6 month saga, the flat was meant to be cleaned and painted before we moved in, the oven was filthy, toilet was filthy, carpets full of dirt, there were no blinds on the windows, the painter had left drips off paint on the floor, a could not care less attitude, once they cashed my cheque and the lease was signed that was that, it took loads of calls to get them to do anything, they even tried to knock money off my deposit for faults that were there before I even seen the place, luckily this was all written down and signed before we moved in so I had records.
