I had very high expectations of this bakeshop especially as this is supposed to be run by a super, ultra, mega expert baker. I tried their blackforest cake. It was like eating a very ordinary cake drenched in alcohol. No nuance in flavor. The alcohol was so overpowering. The sweetness you normally would expect with any dessert is very wanting. Don’t bother. Caffe Concerto’s Cortina Cake does a better job of satiating your sweet tooth.
