Maddie and Mark’s Play Town

This is a good little soft play if you either live in Leith or want to kill two birds with one stone so to speak (shopping and entertaining the kids). We usually alternate so everyone’s a winner!
It’s on the second floor of the centre (floor E if you’re using a lift). Be warned if you’re coming in the car park on the Debenhams side there are a few kids rides that your kids (if anything like mine) will throw a wobbly over before you even get near the door of the soft play. I usually park the M&S side then walk across (seriously) to avoid this situation.
Once inside you’ll notice it’s not the biggest of soft plays but it’s not tiny either. I would avoid peak times at ALL costs. It gets busy and I would argue too busy for the size of venue. There are plenty of tables and chairs for you pull up at whilst the kids are off exploring. They have a baby area for those not walking yet and a toddler area for those a little too small for the big stuff.
The food and coffee here is actually some of the best and most reasonably priced out of all the soft plays I go to. The BLT panini is particularly nice :) The cakes are also good in here.
The changing facilities are pretty standard but they do cater for kiddies who are potty trained in the toilets.
A great wee place. Just avoid like hell at peak times :)

Pretty good and convenient if you have some chain store shopping to get through. The space is large and well-​lit with nice views across the Forth river to Fife and the interesting Leith Harbour with its research and fishing vessels. The spaces for play are thoughtfully divided into babies, little kids and bigger kids. There are nice play areas like a market with play food and trolleys, a shoe shop with giant shoes to try on. Stationary electric scooters to sit on. Dress up clothes too. The café is decent and not badly priced. Surprisingly good coffee. If the weather is absolutely wretched, you can bus it out to Ocean Terminal and wear your children out at this place. There is also garage parking if you want to drive out there and it’s free. Not. Bad. I just wish it was a little bit cheaper. My only real complaint.
