P.O.S.H offers a good range of bread and fillings from which to assemble your sandwich, but really doesn’t get much beyond the«fairly ordinary». For a place at this price-point and with its grand name, it just doesn’t live up to expectations. Overall, we said: «P.O.S.H didn’t hit enough of the right notes for me. Lime offers a tastier sandwich plus a nice bowl of soup for almost exactly the same money as I paid for just a sandwich, here. On that basis, I’m not sure I’ll feel compelled to make a return visit.»

Spotting this below ground level deli with heaps of blackberry wielding executives mumbling away in the entrance, and with a name like POSH… I initially felt like walking straight past this seemingly pretentious new town deli. How wrong I was. I picked a POSH favourite: The Italian Hero(see picture). A lightly toasted baguette full of meatballs, mozzarella, jalapeños all smothered in a rich homemade tomato sauce convinced me to admire POSH and recognise its appeal. Inviting and chatty staff accompanied a top class lunch experience. However, one minor snag is the price. I ordered the above with a drink and it set me back £5. This is simply a loose change lunch to the smartly dressed clientele you’ll often find in POSH, but something of a rare treat for students. Still, its a great place for lunch.
