Polwarth Gardens Surgery

Our family doctor is soooo sweet and friendly! We always manage to get an appointment soonish too. It’s a walk and a half to the nearest pharmacy though: (

A good local GP surgery with a good number of doctors and a couple of nurses during certain times. It is generally possible to get an appointment with any doctor within a day although you may have to wait if you wish to see someone specific. The waiting room, being the bay windowed drawing room of the traditional tenement building, is large and light with toys available for children and a range of magazines for adults. It’s as pleasant an environment as it’s possible for a doctor’s waiting room to be, although the layout does mean that most people look up every time the door opens, which can be quite disconcerting. The treatment rooms are of varying size but all sufficient, and the nurses’ room is large and light. All the staff I’ve met so far have been helpful. Overall, a good local surgery.
