How did I find this place? I was walking down the mile, on the way to Arthur’s Seat. My friend and I kept saying, let’s keep walking and we’ll eventually find the right café(after turning down a bunch on our walk). Well we reached the end of the mile and saw a sign for Serenity Café, everything under 5 pounds it said. Perfect! We went inside and we were the only ones there(though it was early morning). The man was very friendly — he customized my order and my friend’s order. We didn’t even stick to the menu and he only charged us 4 pounds where most would have charged us a lot more. The café is super cute, it looks like an artist/mom’s café. There are painting easels set up, books, and children’s area for games and what not. They also have an assortment of pastries, I didn’t get a chance to try them but they looked delicious. I think I appreciate how friendly and accommodating they were. They didn’t question my request once and did were more than willing to accommodate my diet restrictions. Great little hole in the wall off the mile — worth a stop.
