Quirky venue! First time in the Spielgel tent and wasn’t what I expected. Yes, it is a tent but the booths at the side, the dark wood effect interior and the stained glass effect windows then it’s cute and feels more substantial. There’s a bar inside — full bar service so spirits, beers, ciders, wines, etc. It is small and gets busy quickly before shows start but gives you a drink option after queuing to get in. I was here for The 5.30 show. We were requested to be seated on the dance floor so effectively on wooden deck chairs and there were some tables with chairs. Great layout so it appeared everyone had a view of the stage without obstruction. Sound was good and the layout worked for some of the more interactive performances ;-) One thing to look out for, if you are sitting near the middle and it is a sunny day, bring sunglasses as you’ll have sun shining on you from above.
