Thrift Shop Two is a hidden gem. This is where a lot of the non-clothing items donated to the Birthlink Thrift Shop round the corner end up, and the shelves are full or random bric-à-brac, household textiles, electronics, records, CDs, DVDs, games, books, and one of the best collections of VHS I’ve seen in a charity shop in a long time. The staff are always really friendly and helpful, and it’s always got something interesting in there if you fancy a rake around!

Thrift Shop 2 is one of the best places in Edinburgh to find cheap bric-à-brac and electrical goods. The staff are really friendly, (and will often give you a discount if you buy a lot regularly) there’s a quick turnover of stock and you’ll usually be able to find something useful for a fraction of the price other charity shops charge. For a small shop, it’s surprising the amount they fit in there!

This is a tiny shop and has the feeling of being quite cramped and dark. I have only been in a couple of times a while ago and so the layout may have changed greatly, but when I was there items for sale were filling up all the shelves and spilling onto the floor in virtually every corner of the shop. That said, there was a good selection of secondhand goods at very reasonable prices, and the staff member I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. The shop in general has the feel of a traditional thrift store with some real gems hidden amongst a wide selection of stuff!
