University of Edinburgh IALS

I wasn’t too sure about taking up a Spanish course as part of my credits, so I decided to take some independent Spanish lessons with the Institute for Applied Language Studies, a body under the University of Edinburgh.
The course would have cost about £80 for weekly sessions throughout a semester, but I was lucky enough to sample a class before I eventually signed up to a credited Spanish course. I was surprised to see most of my class mates were postgraduates!
There are several levels for each language, which include amongst other Russian, Italian, Portuguese, French and Swedish, all depending on the students current proficiency. I feel it’s fantastic if you’re quite busy and want to work on language skills, but for just 2 hours a week, it wouldn’t have been enough for me.
