I try to be fair when I review places, so before I talk about the bad I’ll begin by talking about the good. The clinic is situated in a particularly attractive area of the city and… no, sorry, that’s the only good thing I can think to say. If you somehow manage to find the clinic, you’ll have a hard job parking anywhere close by. Even using public transport results in a not inconsiderable hike to get there. Once there you find yourself in a thoroughly uncomfortable waiting room and if you’re expecting your privacy to be respected you’re in for a disappointment. The waiting area is right next to the reception desk and the receptionists have no qualms discussing the purpose for your visit even if there are others in the waiting area. Though attendance is by appointment only and you pay for every fifteen minutes you’re there, don’t expect to be seen promptly, and do expect to be charged from the time your appointment was supposed to begin. You may wait for up to half-an-hour for your appointment and you pay for the privilege. Some of the nursing staff know what they’re doing, but others clearly have had little or no training. Either that or they deliberately ensure your treatment is ineffective so you’ll keep coming back. My wife attended for a basic treatment and after nine sessions, at several hundred pounds a time, we saw no results. We later learned that the equipment was being improperly used on a lower setting than was required. The worst part is the billing. You WILL be charged for appointments you never attended. You WILL be overcharged for appointments you did attend. We saw the doctor for fifteen minutes one day and were charged for a one hour session. Our final bill came to £3,200 and checking the diary I kept it should have been around £1,400. When we disputed the bill we were first told that there was no error because their records are impeccable and then threatened with legal action if we didn’t pay. Avoid these crooks.
