We have been going to the Light of India for nearly 30 years on a regular basis and have yet to have a bad meal. The tea time special is well worth the money but make sure you are very hungry as the portion sizes are big. If you are in any doubt about what to order the staff are only too willing to help you. Best Indian in Ellesmere Port by far.

An excellent place even if it is run by Bangladeshis not Indians. bit of a misnomer! A cheap place to eat but doesn’t skimp on quality. Regularly go here for an ‘Indian’ with a five course meal is the norm not the exception. Some dodgy starters (as with most resturants eh?) but the rest of the menu is quality. Be careful that you don’t order something too spicy for your own tastes as they are a bit heavy handed with the spices here. Does do take away meals which are equally good. Also is a good place to get a drink late at night with a meal. Good Taxi services from this place as well AND literally 100 yards from the nearest railway station.
