I have very fond memories of the Mereside Kiosk in Ellesmere. I grew up in the town and spent many weekends down at the Mere feeding the Ducks, we always used to buy bags of bird seeds from the Kiosk along with an Ice cream. The Mere itself is a beautiful landmark, stunning scenery and immaculate gardens. Whenever I am back in the area I often atke a stroll down the mere as its such a relaxing place to be. I’d suggest taking boat ride across the lake or just spend some time feeding the hoards of ducks — watch out for the Swans some are a little vicious!
