Quite expensive for bowling, they seem to have a monopoly in the area. Its always empty which kind of takes away from the atmosphere. They have a league but the prices have put me off from going on a regular basis. Also I waited for quite a long time to be served some flat coke.
Given the choice I’d rather stay in with the Wii bowling.

A good place for kids, quite cheap but the food is atrocious, I put this down to the fact children run the kitchen!

Set back near Tesco with easy parking Strikes Bowling is a great activity for all ages. They even cater for small preschool children by providing easy ramps for the balls to bowl down and also put the sides up if asked.
Its clean and the staff have always been very friendly. The bowling shoes are decent and they happily change sizes until you are satisfied.
They have special deals if you play at certain times and have a good birthday party package
The food is reasonable — all basic burger and chips fayre and reasonably priced too. They have a games room at the back.
Well worth a visit.

we recently went there with a big group, more than 25 people. They have a great deal for groups which includes a meal and 2 games of bowling for not quite 15 pounds. The food is normal pub food, from scampi and chips to gammon and pasta bake (vegetarian option) and they have a seperate dining area were we could eat. Even though we had a few troubles on the technical side (one of the lanes kept breaking down), they were always friendly and helped us fast. We will go there again for sure.

This is a small but friendly place and we just had lots of fun every time we went there. Youth events birthday events it’s suitable for all ages The food is cheap and cheerful and the staff very helpful. a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Strikes bowling is one of the nicest bowling alleys we have been to. The alley itself isn’t huge, but then you also don’t get that very noisy atmosphere that you get in some places. It is a great place to take kids. Our three year old loves it. If you do stay for food it isn’t at all bad and very good value for money.

We visited the Strikes bowling complex, not to go bowling but to visit Planet Zoom, the kids indoor play area. My son loves coming here, it’s nice and close to the station and Tesco so we go on the train.
He has a great time climbing, swinging and throwing balls around. The play equipment is not very well supervised, so you need to keep an eye on what’s going on.
There’s a café which serves good meals and watery coffee which you can consume while the kids play. The toilets are good, clean and tidy.
