This is a typical english style café, the staff are very friendly and the food is reasonably priced and tasty. Varied menu, sandwiches, grills, all day breakfast, etc. I had the gammon steak which i cant fault at the price. The place is clean but a little warm today.

Quick glance: + attentive staff + wide range of sandwiches and fast foods + eat in or takeaway + good selection of cakes Full review: I visited Café One on a Saturday for a quick panini before an afternoon of shopping in Epsom town centre. I’ve always thought it was a basic sandwich bar where you choose your bread and filling to go, so it was a pleasant surprise to see many tables staffed by friendly waiters and waitresses tending to happy customers tucking away into their baguettes, burgers and the likes. On this visit I had a reasonably priced ham and cheese panini toasted to perfection to take away. I also noticed a selection of cakes sat temptingly at the counter by the front door which I must try the next time around. Café One is a great place for a quick bite to eat whether you want to eat in or takeaway. It’s conveniently located across from the Ashley Shopping Centre, making it a good pit stop before a shopping expedition or a recharging station after a day out in town.

What do you want from a traditional café? All the menu options you’d expect(fry-ups, omelettes, burgers, sandwiches, etc) are present and tasty, the prices are reasonable and the service is efficient to a degree I’ve rarely seen outside the US. Café 1 is certainly the best café on this side of Epsom and it’s a great place to get a quick, cheap meal if you’re in a hurry.

I been going to this café regularly for the last 10 years or so and has always given good service, good food and good value. I’d prefer to eat here than anywhere else in Epsom and pop in even if out of my way when travelling through at lunchtime.

After several cold cereal, burnt toast mornings we were looking for a good place for a hot breakfast on our family vacation to the Epsom area from the USA. Cafe1 offered a good selection but the portions were definitely smaller than what were were accustomed to in the States. You basically get one very thin pancake(more like a crêpe) with any of the breakfast orders that include pancakes. So, if you’re accustomed to a stack of hefty pancakes for breakfast you might want to consider buying double orders as I ended up doing. Other than that the food was tasty and service was good.

It’s surprising that there aren’t more cafes in Epsom as this place does a good brisk breakfast trade. Sometimes you just need a good British fry up to get you going and the cardiologists in trade! Café 1 is located towards the southern end of town and has nice décor and ambiance. The full English is large, reasonably priced and available all day. There are also cakes available but I’ve not been here for morning elevenses or afternoon tea. It’s worth a look for those days you fancy a cholesterol splurge!

Café one is a decent café which serves a good jacket potato with beans and cheese and lasange. Lunchtime can get hectic but the service is decent during this time although I did have to wait 20 minutes for my order. Recommended for a change of venue if your used to mcds

This café is great for lunch out in Epsom, serving an all day breakfast at a great price. It can get very busy in here at lunch time and service can be slow, but the food is really good and they will cook you exactly what you want, how you want it. It is not a very big place but usually you don’t have to wait long for a table. Service is good, but not exceotional but it is a standard you would expect for a reasonably cheap lunch out.

Best ‘greasy spoon’ caf in Epsom and they do a great full English breakfast. There is lots of choice and service comes with a smile. It’s not the cheapest, but there is lots of choice on the menu. The freshly-pressed orange juice is amazing we go back again and again just for that! Seating inside is fine and there are some tables outside, but can be noisy as next to busy road.
