As usual, I called to make a hair cut appointment the morning I wanted one. They fit me in with an afternoon appointment– for which I was grateful! On arrival, I was probably their least favourite type of customer as I wasn’t sure what type of haircut I wanted. The stylist chatted with me and shared her idea which sounded fine to me and off to work she went. I was very impressed with her friendly manner and ability to work in a rapid fashion and perhaps most excellent of all, my final result was a perfect face-framing hairstyle. I recently tried Tony and Guy on the high street and have now decided to return to Regis for my next cut based on both the end result and price.

I tried this salon today for the first time and was glad that my 2 year old son was the guinea pig, not myself. The salon was clean and had a pleasant athmosphere. Whilst the staff were very friendly and we were seein within half an hour after asking for available appointments, the end result is very disappointing. I usually take my son to a kids hairdresser, but as this salon offered childrens hair cuts I thought they would know what to do. I think the stylist was quite junior because she wasn’t sure how to cut my boys’ very straight hair and asked her colleague for help. The cut is way too short and is completely uneven. Perhaps she should have moistened and combed the hair before getting into the cutting. All over, back to front and sides looks uneven and unprofessional. Thank goodness for the hot weather– bring on the sunhats!(by the way, he did not flinch and kept very still throughout)

I have noticed this is always busy ladies. So although it is tucked around the corner near the exit or entrance from Ashley Road, it must attract the Females!

I used to take my daughter to this salon when she was little. You usually need an appointment but during less busy times you can go in and ask and they’ll try to accomodate you. The stylists are very good with children. My daughter wanted a haircut like Dora the Explorer once and another time she wanted one like Stephanie in Lazytown. Both times the hairdresser took great pains to get it to exactly how she wanted it! The cut cost £10, much better than me trying my(clumsy) hand at it! She also kept up a constant natter with my daughter to keep her from getting bored and squirming. I have been a couple of times too, the hairdressers are polite and attentive. They don’t try to fob you off with whatever they think is nice! A place I’d recommend.
