Crumbs

i’d heard AMAZING things about this bakery. so was slightly disappointed that there wasn’t more choice… however. having said that, the carrot and walnut cake was DELICIOUS!!!

How I miss this place! I have been living in the US for a year and would pay so much for the taste of one of Crumbs sausage rolls. The bread is always gorgeous, they also sell pizza by the slice. The ham and cheese turn overs were always too salty. But everything else was great.

Crumbs is a wholesome little bakery in Northumberland Heath. It’s small and queues often spill out into the street but you don’t have to wait long to be served making it a great place to stop off for lunch. It is popular with workers from local businesses and kids from Erith school over the road and as a result, this means that there might not be much food left later in the afternoon.
It’s not too pricey and provides value for money. It is worth popping into if you’re in the area and fancy treating yourself. Sadly there is not room to sit down inside and so you’ll have to make use of the benches on the street or take your goods home for lunch. It is not worth driving too as the road is congested and parking is not available outside. The only place where there is space to park is the pay and display in Mill Road which isn’t worth paying for if you’re only visiting the bakery.
