Now back to its original name of Queen Adelaide this is a large pub with a strong emphasis on food. The food is typical pub fare and competitively priced. There is an attached Travel Lodge hotel, typical of that chain. They serve a good range of beers (Doom Bar, Black Sheep Bitter, Theakstons Lancashire Bomber, etc).

This is a fantastic pub and welcomes children. I recently went here with my family who were over from Canada and the food was really good and the staff very friendly. It has only been refurbished in the last few years and has definately seen an improvement. It is located on the Kingston Road and has its own car park.
