A lovely art/gift shop on the high street, but downsides are that it is quite small(laid out well though) and quite expensive. There are lots of nice gifts though, with many of them being quite unique. Hundreds of prints to choose from, which they will frame for you if required.

This shop is must if you are a new student in Exeter, otherwise it is totally not needed. When you see your new room in halls, the first thing you think of is the need to get down to Athena and get some nice big posters. The cost is kind of standard, that is to say too much, but once you’re stocked up you need never return. The shop also sells picture frames, but it is not competitive compared to places like smiths or bwise. The range of posters has changed over the years, moving away from rock bands and towards drunk student type stuff. A bit samey.

A fair branch of Athena right in the centre of Exeter, that sells a VAST amount of things to put on your wall– right from cheap(ish) naff TV posters to framed prints and posh(ish) canvases. Also has some nice cards(especially film and tv themed) and little gifty things.

This is a small shop but they have a large amount of stock. They sell all the usual Athena goodies which include prints, posters, frames, stationary and pens. They also have a wide choice of gift items which are great for stocking fillers. The staff are always very friendly and they will order in prints for you if there is one you like in their catalogue which is not available instore.

Lovely prints and frames. Nice spacious shop and lovely cards. You can find some lovely prints of old photographs and famous paintings. They have stocking filler gifts, such as humorous mugs etc. Staff are fine.

gorgoeus prints, photoframes, gifts, greetings cards all can be found in athena. at the bottom end of the high street going towards fore street. it is a lovely shop that feels very much lik ea gallery. it isnt the cheapest of shops but you really do get what you pay for. the prints and canvases are amazing, as are the frames. i recently got a gorgeous funky memo board from there that was covered in cow print fur, it really is a talking point.
