Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I needed to rent a small van to move a few bits from Devon to London so I went to Enterprise simply because my destination in London was close to an Enterprise store and I paid the extra £100 in order to leave the van in London.
When I was being shown around the vehicle to check for damage I pointed out a dent that was on the Van. I asked for the damage to be noted but the man that was showing me around insisted that the damage was fine and didn’t need to be noted, I then insisted for it to be made note of, to which he pulled out a ‘universal damage checker’ which had some circles and square boxes on it to which he said this is what all Enterprise stores use and if the damage is within this circle it doesn’t need to be made note of. I was still a bit annoyed as I wanted it noted but they seemed stubborn in telling me that it was not going to be an issue.
I started the journey right away and it went swimmingly. When I arrive in the London store and after they go around the vehicle. Low and behold. They point out the dent! I explain what I was told to which they responded they will still need to inform the Exeter Store.
2 days later I receive a call from the Exeter store to tell me, ‘unfortunately we have been informed about the van’s damage, so we will be checking when it arrives and will inform you of how much we shall take from your card’. Needless to say I was FUMING! I explained the whole thing again to which I was told, ‘okay, I shall look into it and call you back’. I never received any call back, but 6 weeks later I have received a letter informing me that my card will be debited of £298.15 for damages.
This is the first review I have ever written and I will be informing all my friends, family and any stranger I meet that may talk about renting a car that they are to NEVER use Enterprise! I have decided that I will go to court for the sake of £300! Ridiculous and disgusting!
