I sold my laptop to Titan Computers yesterday and was told that my hard drive was broken. I requested to have it back anyway because it had personal information on it. The man went into the back of the shop with my laptop for quite a while, and returned with a hard drive in a plastic bag. When I got home I checked the hard drive he had given me and it wasn’t mine. The only reason I noticed was because I had replaced the hard drive myself and the one they had given me was a different brand from the one I had installed. When I went back to the shop they said they had ‘got confused’ and given me the wrong hard drive, it then turned out the hard drive they said was ‘broken’ was actually in perfect condition. They said they had got confused between two similar laptops, however he had my laptop in his hand when he went to take the hard drive out, and it was quite clearly labelled. I just want to make sure people are careful when dealing with this shop, in this situation it meant that they had my hard drive, something that contains a lot of personal information. However they also could have made money selling something on that was mine that they had told me was ‘broken’.

You can take in your laptop or pc to be repaired or they will come to your house or workplace if you prefer. They offer free quotes so if you are not happy with their price you can go elsewhere. They also offer a no fix, no fee policy which means if they cannot fix your problem you will not be charged. I would recommend this company, although they may be slightly more expensive than shops such as PC World i think you get what you pay for, and the service here is excellent.
