Taiyuan Restaurant

The food is good, the staff are friendly. The restaurant itself is starting to look a bit tired and the customers on the night we went there were on the noisy and rowdy side of friendly banter. They were mostly picking up take away, and dropping through. It’s obvious they have a loyal and long standing customer base who are very chatty with the staff, but the banter does distract from a quiet meal. The waitress also didn’t know the meal we considered ordering, and when asked about it rather than find out what it was she just said I dunno. I must admit I had expected her to find a member of staff who did know.
The food was good and so was the variety, we will most likely be back. There are obvious approaches that could be taken to raise the game though. Some more separation between the take away and the seated tables would make a big difference, but they really don’t have a lot of space.

this chinese restaurant is situated in weir street in the town centre opposite the old job centre. this is a nice little cosy restaurant, it is quite small. the food is delicious and fast and the service is great too. they are open at lunch time and do a special lunch menu. the tastiest thing they do is the aromatic crispy duck, it’s amazing, well worth paying extra for.
they also do takeaways and home deliveries and they deliver all over falkirk. it is always busy, which i take to be a good sign.
they dont have a customer car park but there is a carpark right next door to it, unfortunately you have to pay to use it.

lovely wee restaurant, lovely staff, lovely food. they have a cheap lunchtime menu too. delicious
