A bit boring and bland for my tastes. The Caesar salad was good, but my Fusili Rusticana was missing any real flavor or spice. Nice service and a very nice manager keeps it at three stars.

I ate at Prezzo last night(10÷4÷10), and it was fairly busy, and managed to squeeze us in even though we hadnt booked, but I wish they hadnt… The starters of crab cakes and an onion and cheese flatbread were decent enough, however the main courses were shocking. I had a pizza and the base was soggy, soft and doughey. It was that bad, my partner offered to swap her chicken carbonara for it, as she said she could eat it. The carbonara was ok, but the sauce was overly thick and cloying on the mouth, with an overpoweringly smoky flavour from the pancetta. We had a side order of fries, which were swimming in grease, undercooked and not at all crispy. On the upside, the childrens menu was brilliant, 3 courses for £5, and probably would have fed me! The prices were OK, but would have been a steal if the food was any good.

In the wonderful world of medium range, pretty affordable Italianesque British fare, I would have to put Prezzo at the top… at least our Prezzo. We really felt taken care of here. When you eat Italianesque, there’s only so much you expect. And this is what you expect. It’s good, but doesn’t exactly evoke a piazza on Lake Como. What sets Prezzo apart was the individual attention we felt we were paid, despite it being your average middle of the road British Italianesque. We were given a table out of the way, but had plenty of attention. They attended to our 2-year-old. It wasn’t 5-star restaurant service, but it was well above the typical mark.

Tried out this Italian restaurant during a recent visit to Farnham. They offer a good selection of dishes, including some predictable and also some more unusual pasta and pizza creations. This type of restaurant tends to be very popular with families, and we were seated in an upstairs room with a large birthday party. We were hungry and didn’t mind too much. Not so nice being forgotten about once the big party had left, though. Once staff had cleared the tables and rearranged the furniture we were left to our own devices. I don’t think anyone would have noticed if we had just left

My opinion is divided on this branch of Prezzo. I’ve had mixed experiences, the worst being a selection of below average food and being made to sit in an uncomfortable area in what can be a bit of a dark eating area — there’s only a small front window. But given some warm weather you can take advantage of the very nice outside patio. A secret of Farnham’s main street where you can get away from the traffic and enjoy some al fresco dining. There are hardly any places in Farnham offering such a nice spot for outdoor eating.
