My family had an excellent meal here this evening ! we have been coming here on and off for over 20 years and always remember it fondly
The waiter attended to us quickly and everything was perfect !!

I live in Felixstowe and on May 22^nd my daughter and son-​in-​law had booked this restaurant for a party of thirty for lunch following my grandson’s christening.
We chose from a set menu so they did not have to produce thirty different meals, but the service was unbelievably slow.
We sat in the restaurant for over half an hour before they came to take our orders, then the young lady who came to our table had a very poor command of English. Following the ordering we waited almost another half hour for the starters and the first served had finished and were ready for the mains before the last starters had been served.
When we got to the main courses, they came out in ‘batches’ of three or four and again those of us who were served first had finished our main course at least 30 minutes before the final ones were served. The final course on the menu was ice cream or tea or coffee and these were not offered to us at all — three of us got coffee because I went and demanded it, but no-​one else had any part of the third course — and some of us got the wrong meals — but we just shut up and ate up because it was all so chaotic and had taken so long, we were hungry, past caring, and we really wanted to get home in time for bed!
We arrived at just after mid-​day and the last few were still eating at almost 3.30!

mild blowingly terrible service, you should go to check how bad it can be. I advise you to bring a menu from another Chinese takeaway that delivers as that way you might eat on the same day you arrived.
The food is edible and you get to pick out a duckling so the staff can feed/​fatten it up for you whilst you wait three months for your starter.
The atmosphere is very tense as the people around you don’t get served any food either.
Please read this, buy yourself a wok and stay at home

China Garden has a great spot right on the sea front and its full glass front really helps dinners relax and take in the scenes. The restaurant itself often pulls in a younger crowd with bands and also cocktails on busy nights.
The food is good and you have the choice of all the usual suspects, sweet and sour, black bean, peeking duck and chow mien which is all brought up from the kitchen below.
The buffet is the main draw with loads of people gathering for their Sunday special which is all you can eat.
The manager is young, fun, full of energy and always eager to please. The rest of the staff are quieter but do a sterling job.
If your after great views, regular Chinese food and a bit of atmosphere then the china garden is a great place to start your night.
