This is an ever expanding primary school on a housing development in Fleet. It is currently undergoing a huge extension that is due to be finished in April 09, but is currently just a metal frame! In the infant part of the school there are three classes to each year group(Year R — 2) and in Juniors there are just 2 classes per year group, although the extension is being built to accommodate more. The school is around five years old and very modern and well equipped with interactive white boards in every classroom(why are schools so proud of these!) and an IT room with a computer for each child. There is a large, well stocked library just inside the main entrance with a huge flat screen TV on the wall showing photos and short films of school trips and holidays. There are Art, Cookery and Music rooms, as well as tables and chairs outside the classrooms for small group work. There is a full range of afterschool and lunchtime clubs available for children, at various prices. There really is something for everyone but they are heavily subscribed so children are often disappointed. The school is very attractive, and nicely landscaped and the children have a playing field, two playgrounds and a courtyard to the front of the school. Most classes have a class pet or two –mostly rabbits and guinea pigs, and the children take it in turns to bring them home for the weekend or holidays. I am not going to comment on the standards of education, as I am only a parent and only have my own children to compare but the school has received good OFSTED reports.
