I visited this restaurant based on the review(s) while visiting Folkestone. While the steak with bernaise(one of the best I’ve ever had). I had was wonderful, the service was pitifully poor. When I entered there were two servers, but one went home, leaving the one server to wait on the entire filling restaurant. It was hard to get her attention and had to wait a long time for my check. The food was great and highly recommended for that reason, but the service needs major attention.

This used to be the Wild for Coffee and Wild for Flowers establishment but they have moved down the road to No 45 and are now just doing flowers. The new owners have made the whole space a café now, so it’s more spacious and still a very attractive spot with the restored old wooden floors and lots of light. I miss the flowers a little but otherwise the new ownership has made some positive changes to give a more varied menu and still delicious. Food is served from breakfast until dinner, we had lunch there and the celeriac soup with truffle oil had a deep rich flavour allowing just enough room for a wonderful homemade chocolate brownie.
