Great little pub in Findhorn. Some of the food was particularly good — I had probably the greatest food envy of my life when a bunch of my friends got the Duckie crab starter — it looked and tasted incredible. My scallops were also very tasty but 3 for £8.95 is pricey. For mains I enjoyed the smoked haddock fishcakes which were tasty although a little burnt on the bottom. Chips were excellent and there was some impressively giant onion rings with my friend’s steak, which she said was fine but not amazing. The mussels looked good and came as a giant portion. Another friend really liked the Balmoral chicken, which comes with a whiskey sauce and haggis. I also thought the scallops and risotto was very well presented. The menu is quite extensive because they have a more classic type pub menu which has things like lasagne and fish and chips(but also mussels and culleen skink) but then they have a large range of interesting specials, mostly seafood. The choice is great and I would suggest at least one seafood dish as it’s very fresh. They have a great selection of whiskeys although I didn’t notice such a wide choice of ales. Soft drinks come in a can which greatly pleased me. Some of the seats are in a little sort of conservatory overlooking the sea — worth snagging those if you get a chance. We called ahead saying we had a group of 10 and arrived to find a table reserved. The service, which was very friendly, was calm and although not mega quick(we weren’t in a hurry anyway) dealt well with our numbers very well.

Stayed in the heart of Findhorn at this local hostelry. It performs well as a pub and eaterie, however quite basic as a hotel. Rooms are ensuite but quite tired and needing revamped. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, basic produce with not much care gone into it, although the staff were pleasant and helpful . The bar had a great selection of ales and spirits but not much of an atmosphere. Sadly just average

Pretty good pub with a great choice of food. Had some great haggis and pork sausages while sat outside looking over the bay. It’s worth noting that the pub is actually in Findhorn.
