Booked appointment for MOT and as I live 12 miles away asked how long it would take, I was told 1 and half hours, and I asked as it was still under warranty if any repairs could be done there and then, Bonus yes they will do any work needed while it‘s in.
Took my car (06 Scenic) in at 0930 on Saturday 28÷3÷2009 for it‘s first MOT, and I informed reception that it needed a headlamp bulb replaced (wrote on job sheet), was told this would be £26.00 ish (wow wish Id gone to halfords) never mind, decided to kill time and got metro to town, came back at 11 ish waited around till my car came round at 11.40 and was told by reception that it had failed and he had forgot to replace the bulb (one of the items he failed it on) did I want him to do it now, yup, 20mins later time to pay bill. We wont charge you for fitting the bulb I‘m told as I have been waiting a while (just over 2 hours 45 mins and apart from the bulb they haven‘t fixed anything, just done MOT)
The car also failed on track rod ends and excessive scoring on OSF brake pads, I was quoted £243 for the brakes (went to Croxdale on Monday £140 SAVING OVER £100!!!) but they will do the track rod ends on warranty.
Booked in Monday 30/​03/​2009 at 09.30 told them I would leave car till Tuesday about 13.00, rang them to see if my car was ready and was told they were just taking it for the retest now (??? HOW CAN IT TAKE SOOOO LONG ???) but they would ring me when it‘s done zzzzzzz 15.00 I ring them woooopeeeeee it‘s ready.
PROBABLY THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD — FIND ANOTHER GARAGE IF YOU CAN.
