Been here on numerous occasions, last time was for my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. The food is gorgeous and the restaurant itself is very sophisticated. You feel well looked after by the staff. Although the bill can get very high very quickly and the portions aren’t huge, it is nice for a special occasion. I would suggest going in a large group as you can enjoy the banquet and works out cheaper.

I went here for a birthday with a group of people. Staff were friendly and co-operative when some people were late. Brought out the cake with bottles of champagne and took photos for us. Food was gorgeous!!!
(Loos were very clean and had flowers in the cubicles)

It’s a good restaurant, The Imperial, if you like British Chinese dishes — everything is dripping in rich sauces and wrapped in batter like a duvet. There’s a long hike up a short hill of stairs too — leave Grandma at home.

The imperial is a chinese restaurant located in Durham Road in Lowfell. Inside is it nicely decorated and has a friendly atomosphere. The food is always nice and fresh. They do a lunchtime special that includes a starter, main course and desert as well as all the prawn crackers you can eat. They also hold special events for chinese new year
