Toni’s is located right next to Wholefoods, so make sure you pop in after your latest kale and avocado stocking-up session. I’ve visited Toni’s on several occasions for takeaway and have been impressed each time. The pizzas are fresh and tasty, the garlic bread is ace and the service is good too. Prices are good for the quality and they do have some midweek deals. Apparently there’s some sort of massive pizza challenge too. It looks incredible but I’m not sure I’d be able to manage it!

Dropping a star after a few more orders, purely because the delivery has been a bit flaky on a couple of occasions where the wait has been close to or well over the hour. This is probably driven by popularity as they still produce really good pizzas, and I don’t know if the fact that we mainly order through the Just Eat app causes some problems. The quality of the pizzas really can’t be faulted though, and it could very well be that their success is slowing things down a bit. I still think these are the best takeaway pizzas in our area, and I think we will still come here for our last minute takeout orders. If the next few deliveries go without a hitch I’ll be more than happy to give them their 5th star back.

For being a takeaway. Well mostly. There are some stools to Sit by the window and a ledge were I dare say will hold ur pizza box should u want to eat there and then. On good sunny days LOL! there are some little tables and chairs outside. Anywho. As I said for being a takeaway. I did digress. It’s really very good. I do like my pizza. And I like good ! Pizza and this is that ! Good grammar eh. It really is worth trying. As good as any pizza Iv ordered in most pizza restaurants. I have tried in Glasgow.

Buoyed by a succesful first visit I returned for another post diving snack. I had a 16″ ham, artichoke and black olives. It was Sunday evening and they were busy, but the pizza still came soon enough. I marked it down because it had a slightl antisceptic taste. It may have been bad olives or residue from the baking sheet, but it certainly detracted from my enjoyment and at £14+ I expected better. Strangely, the reheated slices the following day were actually tastier than the first run.

Finding good pizza in Glasgow is like finding a needle in a haystack, so when we decided to stop in for some pizza after a trip to Whole Foods, we were pleasantly surprised. We kept things simple by ordering a simple cheese pizza, but unlike other places in the area, the crust was perfectly cooked and had a delicious taste to it. The sauce wasn’t overloaded with sugars or spices and the cheese was ooey and gooey! We only ordered a small because we were afraid we were going to hate it, but after we polished off the small, we almost felt like we might go in and order more.(We had plans to have dinner later that night, so we decided to just stick with the one pizza). We also ordered the jalapeño poppers, which weren’t exactly what we expected. They were shaped like balls and were basically a ball of cream cheese with little bits of jalapenos. They were tasty, but we’ll probably order something else next time. We will be back, and not just because we’re going to Whole Foods next door!

Recently refurbished and relaunched as Toni’s Pizzeria, the former Pizza Couture/Italmania was somewhere I’d passed by at least a million times but had never visited. Why?! I hear you ask. Well, a few reasons. I’m not the biggest pizza eater — I’ll happily eat it and we make a great homemade pizza, if I do say so myself. And when the mood hits, we tend to go out for dinner rather than order takeaway. But yesterday was different. I was really tired, fueled only on caffeine and sugar and by the time dinner time arrived even the idea of putting something from the freezer in the oven seemed too much effort. I used this amazing device called«the internet» to order pizza(don’t laugh, I’ve never ordered takeaway online before) from Toni’s. I went for artichoke, fresh tomato and parmesan on mine, whereas Graeme went for chicken and smoked bacon. I liked that you had free reign over choosing your toppings. I couldn’t see an option for set toppings like most places have but that didn’t phase me as I liked being able to ask my taste buds what they fancied. My order was submitted at 7.06pm and the computer told me I would be eating my pizza by 7.55pm. Seemed reasonable enough to me, but thankfully the pizza guy was early and arrived at 7.40pm. Woohoo! So, how did the pizzas look? Well I was pretty damn impressed — they had a lovely puffy crust and the toppings were generous and fresh. When I dived in mouth first I was really impressed by the taste and honestly couldn’t think of how they could be improved. These are some of the tastiest pizzas I’ve tried and will definitely be returning to sample more of their menu(they also offer pasta, burgers and sandwiches). The price seemed reasonable(but as you’ll know by now, I am a novice in the takeaway area) — two medium pizzas with 3⁄2 toppings each came to just over £20 including delivery.
