Ok is as far as I’m willing to go with the food I have tried in here so far. We went in and had pizza and a curry. The service from the start wasn’t great with the guy serving us trying to overcharge by not taking the deal in their window into account. We went out to grab a couple of beers to take back with us and upon returning they still hadn’t started making the food. In total between ordering and leaving we were waiting in excess of 30 mins on a quiet night. It was good value for money but it didn’t make up for service or the lack of quality. The food quality was average at best. The pizza toppings just fell off the base and the curry tasted like the spices hadn’t been cooked off. In a city full of good eateries this one will not be getting a return visit.

Not bad as take always go, seeing as its usually very late at night you order one and you have no other option. hee hee. However they are not very willing to go outside the box for you. witch i am not a big fan of. for instance they do these small potion of tiny chicken wings and when i asked if i can pay extra they did not offer this i had to but another potion of chips with them as it only comes as a meal. booo. for that i just dropped another star down to two or i might of scraped a 3 star rating off me.

It was a cold December night, and I was lost in the west end: the Bön Appetit appeared like a small, neon lit oasis, and I rushed inside. It was busy, despite it being an odd time for a takeaway– before the pubs closed, but way past teatime. It was obvious that the other customers were regulars– always a good sign– since the staff knew their orders off by heart. I went for a sampling of chips and Grand Mix kebab– too much for one person, but genuinely tasty and not slathered in that hot sauce beloved of cheap establishments. Heading back, I went for the curry and was really surprised to get a tasty dish– I did expect something more soup-like and harsh. But they cook fresh, here– I watched them pick out the ingredients and add them– so this is a cut above the usual takeaway.

Yeah, this place is good! Ended up here on a couple of drunken evenings out and I have always enjoyed it. However my judgement may have been a little bit skewed by a glass of wine on fifteen. But yeah, the chips and cheese is perfect for soaking up the alcohol. I find that a simple dish such as chips and cheese is a good way to judge the calibre of a takeaway — much like a good omelette is a mark of a good chef. My drunken friends have all landed face down in food from here and I’ve never heard any complaints.(even the next day)
