I’ll keep this simple I’m a hifi snob I love hifi and spend shit loads of money on hifi Bose is not in any way hifi if you have a Bose hifi product in your home and you think it’s great you’re more susceptible to media bullshit than you think. Bose is the sort of company that spends 90% of their budget on advertising and marketing to daily mail and times readers. Just because you have paid through the nose for something does not make it a quality product it makes you a twat for paying that much for it to be fair they make nice PA speakers but even at that they’re way over-priced noise cancelling head phones are not bad(if you fly everywhere) but there’s better life style systems are cheap and sold on the principle of it being packed with technology no other company wants because its crap their QVC advert is just funny but people believe it cause there fu*king stupid I really could go on on this one … they’re in line with qed or monster cables in the field of bend me over and take my rusty sheriffs badge kind of company thought I should add I used to work for a Bose retailer to be fair I couldn’t sell it I just couldn’t do that to someone unless they relay wanted it and a few did

Unlike many of its neighbouring businesses in the Merchant City, Bose is one shop which easily matches its style with substance. These are no bob sound merchant, but rather proprietors of some of the most colossal soundsystems known to man. I got myself a pair of noise cancelling headphones here which have changed the lives of those around me. Of course, you do pay for what you get. This is not the place to go to buy a two quid pair of tinny earphones. However, if you do fancy shelling out and treating yourself(although perhaps not your ear drums), this is the place to go.

Gosh, if I could marry a piece of technology, it would be my Bose headphones. Although everything here is very much out of my price range, I did mosey in here and drop a wad of cash on some headgear. Despite the horror of looking at my bank statement afterwards, I haven’t regretted it a single day in my life. I am not exaggerating! Bose aims to improve your audio experience, and all sorts of gagetry goes into it. You’re also paying for the name, and the high level brand reputation, but it’s absolutely worth it. Everything is very black and silver and chic and modern. Unlike most stores like this, however, Bose has removed the«look-but-don’t-touch» attitude, and the store is here to let you fiddle and trial everything that they sell. I also tried a pair of their noise-cancelling headphones, and good gracious me, they are a godsend. If you’re planning on taking a long trip, or travel long-distance often, these will make your aeroplane journeys so much easier. The staff are ace too, eager to help but don’t smother you like the folk at Curry’s and what have you. Whether you’re buying or just having a nose in, this place is a safe haven for all manner of audiophiles.

Technophobe’s beware! Bose is(a fashionable) home to hundreds of hi-tech, futuristic sortof electronics. From crazy radios, to noise cancelling headphones, this place has it all. They specialise in sound systems that are aimed to improve the quality of the sound that you hear — whether it be through your tv, hi-fi or whathaveyou. It’s amazing! I couldn’t afford to buy even their cheapest headphones(*sigh*) however, you can test them out, which was brilliant fun. They also have a fully equipped cinema where you can enjoy the Bose«true to life» theatre experience… fanceeeeee! So…Expensive? Yup. Worth it? Probably. If only I could afford it…

A very professional looking shop, spacious, well lit, and well laid out. The staff(of which there are normally 2) are very friendly and seem to know exactly what they’re talking about. The products the shop sells are of an extremely high quality(as is expected with the Bose brand) and coincidentally are also of a pretty high price. The shop also features a pretty neat demonstration room, which the staff will try and lure you into should you demonstrate an interest in some of their higher-range products. All in all the shop gives a very personal shopping experience, definitely worth a look if you’re looking to treat yourself to some high quality electronic equipment.

I decided to go in and have a look at this store to avoid the rain while walking around town with a friend. The store is fresh and the staff are quite cheerful. They seemed on the ball with their product and put up a good argument for switching to Bose. Without realising we were shown into a tiny room(that turned out to be a cinema) and were shown a 20 minute presentation. Sounds horrible but it was really funny and enjoyable. We had a chat with one of the senior members of staff and had a fun time visiting. If I could afford Bose I’d consider going back and buying their products.
