I have been a regular visitor to this salon for about 4 years now. I always come out with a professional haircut and glossy hair. I usually just get a cut and blow dry, so I can’t comment on the colour aspect of the service however the stylists are very professional so I would have no worries there. The salon has a great app which you can download and book your appointment on. The salon itself is very modern with huge mirrors, bold designs and comfortable seating. Tea or coffee is always on offer and the staff who wash your hair are fantastic. Don’t be afraid to take a photo along so your stylist can get an idea of what you would like. For around £34, this is my go to place for a haircut. The salon also advertises offers on and it’s always worth checking if you need a last minute appointment.

Évaluation du lieu : 2 Glasgow, United Kingdom
All I wanted was JUST a haircut. I should have said I was allergic to avoid getting ripped off… I have lived in Glasgow for over two years collectively, and despite a plethora of hair salons that are dotted around the city, I still haven’t found a place that I feel comfortable with or a stylist that I trust. After a few mediocre but expensive hair cuts at Glasgow salons, I still reserve getting my locks tended to when I’m back stateside, especially when visiting my wee sis in NYC. Over the past year, I have grown out my lopsided bob(thanks U Concept!). Luckily my hair grows like a weed, and grew a good 8 – 9 inches in that span of time. My next trip home to the US isn’t until the end of the year, but I just couldn’t wait to get my hair seen to, especially since I have a wedding next week. Anyway, a deal came through my inbox for Chesne Hair and Beauty in Merchant City. I know a few people who have gone here, including Lumberjack, and it seemed fine. The deal was £19 for cut and blow dry plus a L’Anza conditioning treatment and a Shiatsu head massage. There was the option to book an appointment with a senior stylist for £8, payable on the day of the appointment, and you also received 30% off all colour treatment. Not too shabby, so I went ahead and bought the voucher. I booked my appointment a week in advance, and didn’t specify if I wanted a senior stylist. So I popped along Friday afternoon after work. When I checked in for my appointment, the guy asked me if I wanted to have it done with a senior stylist. I thought for £8, why not? Especially after my last hair cut in Glasgow was with some incompetent stylist. So I sat and waited until I was called upon for my appointment. A few moments later a lady dressed in black took me to a station for my consultation. I explained I have been growing it out, and I just wanted to get it all evened out, but not too much length off. I also showed her a picture of how I wanted my fringe done. She examined my hair… to be completely frank(and not narcissistic in any way), but thanks to good genes I’ve been blessed with glossy raven hair that occasionally has random natural but very subtle chocolate, toffee and even red highlights. I was silly to have dyed my hair in the past, and have learned that dyeing my hair can be costly because my hair grows so fast, revealing inevitable roots within weeks. The stylist had the audacity to point out the quirks in my hair(I haven’t dyed my hair in 4 – 5 years), and said I would«need» a semi-permanent dye job to get it even and make my hair glossy(it’s already glossy without expensive treatments and products!). Bah… The stylist was just as bad as the really pushy beauty consultants at Fraser’s. I said«no» twice, but she was so persistent. I finally got fed up and said fine. *sigh* Two hours later, my hair was«dyed», shampooed, conditioned, cut and blow-dried. The haircut was fine, but my hair colour looked EXACTLYLIKEITDIDBEFORE! Thanks for the £35 extra of a whole lotta nothing Chesne… oh and thanks for also letting me stain my beautiful plush white towels with the dye already coming off my hair! In short, I learned my lesson, and I’m kicking myself for letting the stylist push me into dyeing my hair and taking £35 of my hard-earned pennies. GRRR… One shouldn’t be pressured into getting something or a service they don’t want in the first place, especially when the pressure is coming from a person wielding sharp objects. That’s not what I call good customer service!
