Right next to Karen Millen on Buchanan Street the dresses displayed in the window of Coast are quite simply stunning and it’s often hard to resist the urge to walk by without popping in for a browse.
I have a gorgeous red silk dress from coast that I got for a Christmas dance in my last year of high school. It’s classic and timeless and assuming I don’t put on too much weight I’ll be able to wear it for many years to come.
Coast is an excellent shop if you’re looking for a formal dress or just something really pretty and a little bit different for a special ocassion. Expect to pay £100+ for a dress here but it’s worth it as the clothing is stunning and is excellent quality. You will also find accessories here such as hairbands, clasps and handbags to match your new outfit.

Under the same umbrella as Warehouse and Oasis, Coast is an upscale high street store selling dresses for all occasions.
From party frocks to ball gowns, they have a great selection of dresses for everything from your school prom, university ball, fancy nights out, cocktail parties, and wedding receptions.
Prices range from about £50 for on-sale items, averaging at around £130 and peaking at £250 or so.
All of their dresses are well-made and tailored, in a whole range of fabrics. They also have a dedicated collection of little red dresses and little black dresses if you’re looking for something sleek and classic to add to your capsule wardrobe.
They don’t have a great deal of accessories, but they do stock some scarves, bags, and jewellery.

It’s coming up to that time of year when there are Christmas nights-out a plenty. School dances, University balls, work nights out and winter weddings. Sometimes the occasion calls for you to dress up to the nines and for these occasions there is Coast.
Coast is a lovely shop with high quality, timeless pieces that will make you feel drop dead gorgeous. Famous for its dresses, this shop is particularly popular this time of year. For the high street, it can be expensive but it’s a good option for a one-off piece or for that special occasion.

Formal wear heaven. The dresses in here are lovely, whether you’re looking for something to wear to that all-important ocassion, or you just feel like buying a ball gown.
All the dresses are about £120+ up to about £250. Expensive, but totally worth it my friends. I own 3 Coast dresses and none of them have gone out of fashion, and they’re each still in one piece. Excellent.
Coast, as Liz also notes, also have a small range of accessories from scarves to handbags and purses, each matching the collections. They’re all very pretty.
Best time to go? Sale time.

This is the place to go for ladies’ formal wear. If you have a wedding or graduation coming up, the dresses in here are gorgeous.
For the quality, they aren’t badly priced, with the average dress coming in at just over £100.
You can complete your outfit with their small range of matching bags, scarves and fascinators. In fact, I got a hairband covered in roses in the sale. I think it was still £12, but it was so pretteeee.

Coast is a lovely store and is the place to go if you have a wedding or a special occasion to go to. This branch is lovely it is really bright and airy and shopping here is a lovely experience. Staff are really helpful and if you are looking for another size or simply an opinion then they are more than happy to help. Shop is not huge but there is a fair selection of choice available. It is quite expensive though and not really type of shop that sells things for everyday wear. Definatly worth visting though if you have somewhere special to go as loads of lovely dresses and skirts in an array of styles.
