Costa coffee. I had a black coffee in here. Omg, I forgot how strong their coffee was. I’m usually a Starbucks man, but it’s nice to change things up. When I usually visit Costa, I ask for a Chocolatte. I don’t think hey advertise them, but will make them. I’ll get next time instead of coffee. What is a Chocolatte? Chocolate latte, with big marshmallows inside, lots of whipped cream on top and a chocolate flake. Wow The best drink ever. In fact. I’ve just put myself in the notion for one. Going back today:)

I’m not normally a huge fan of Costa, just not my cup of coffee. But I do love their season hot chocolates and drinks. The sticky toffee latte is amazing for a sweet holiday drink. This is a large costa and has plenty of seats, which is great for meeting up with others. Great big windows line the walls and allow for some great people watching.

One of the larger Costa’s that I’ve been to, plenty of seating area. Right in the middle of the city also so very handy for a morning coffee run before work :)

For a chain coffee shop I quite like this branch. The staff are friendly and its located in a prime spot so its handy for popping in after work for a quick meet up. If you manage to bag a window seat its also a great place to people watch! Although a lot of the food on offer is fairly standard packaged stuff, some of the options are quite tasty and the prices are reasonable. I usually opt for a peppermint tea which is always nice enough, and for a little treat the chocolate tiffin is particularly yummy. I’m one of those people who get quite excited by Christmas cups /hot drinks and snacks, so I’m looking forward to their arrival in the next few months.

To be honest, Costa coffee is Costa coffee. It’s good, really and truly. But it’s the same as all the other Costa’s everywhere else. Maybe I’m being a snob but I like a little independent place better or at least somewhere that doesn’t feel so mass produced. Saying that, this place is warm and friendly and good for a stop on the way to work or a quick catch up. And at least it’s not Starbucks, right?

You would think that the market would be saturated by now with all the latest coffee shops to open in Glasgow city centre, this costa coffee shop has late opening hours and an ideal place to head after a busy shop in the city centre. With their new winter selection on the menu they have plenty of tempting new & tasty items to offer such as the chicken tikka panini just to name one. Fantastic selection of patisserie & cakes on display to sit in or to go with plenty of staff to serve to ensure a speedy service.
