Excellent teeny tiny candy shop. We just happened by it and decided to pop in and now I dream about their jelly beans. We also got some sour dummies which were actually sour and soft. I would go back here in a heartbeat and wish I had bought a few other goodies to take home.

OK so I have been meaning to visit these guys since I moved into Glasgow 5 years ago. I keep getting caught out because they are closed when I pass. Not this time and I am so glad I managed to get in to visit. These guys are hidden in the East end between Glasgow green and the gallowgate. It is a very small frontage that is easy to miss but if you find them and they are open your in for a treat. Some of the best sweet choice I have ever seen let alone tasted. We left with our bag filled with bonbons and fudge, licorice and many other sweet goodies. You have to give these guys a try to get your well needed sugar fix.

An out of this world experience if you like old fashioned sweeties. Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth it is still well worth a visit just to browse many of the sweets from«yester-year».

Glickmans is awesome! Its like the traditional sweet shop, where you can buy an ounze of pear drops and anything else that comes in a jar and costs pennies. Pick’n’mix was a lost art when the ice cream van ceased to exist, but Glickmans is holding on and wants to offer us all the best of hard boiled. Love it!

Goody gum drops, I like Glickman’s. Glickman’s is right by the Barras, so if you’re feeling tired after a hard day of bargain hunting that would make David Dickenson proud, you should make a pit stop here. It’s a tiny wee establishment all but crammed to the rafters with sweetie mix-ups, and big bags of whatever your heart desires for roughly £1. It’s good old fashioned fun, with chews that yer gran will remember, but also some modern stock as well. All the sweets are displayed so they’re easily accessible, and the staff are eager to help if you need something from a jar. Their selection looks fresh and fruity — without the nutrients, but who goes to a sweet shop to get their five a day? Not likely, and the sweets look properly made up and not horribly synthesized. Full ingredients are on each pack so you know exactly what you’re getting, which is vital info for those with allergies. The staff are nice and chirpy and it’s lovely going into a sweet shop that’s off the beaten track and not full of corporate big brands. The displays are nice inside and out, but most importantly, my friends, I can report I polished off the best bag of candy crayons I’ve ever experienced. The staff were trepid in my choice because they were rhubard and custard flavoured, but they shouldn’t have worried because they were gone in 60 seconds. In my belly. It was my first purchase from Glickman’s, but it will not be my last! An enthusiastic two thumbs up! I love a sweet shop that has old confectionary boxes in the window but some tasty treats on offer inside! Someone to take your gran, kids and pals. Get tucked in!

Terrific old fashioned sweetie shop. Been there for years. Get all the old type sweets, soor plooms, acid drops, odd fellow, etc. They do great cough sweets. Some of the sweets are made in the shop and you can see into the kitchen where they make them. They do wedding favours and special baskets of sweets.
