Oscar and Holly’s is great! They are so friendly and accommodating. The staff had no problem letting me come in and sit with my dogs and were very kind when one of the dogs barked a little. The service is good and the coffee is tasty. I haven’t had a chance to try the food yet(came to study and have a cappuccino), but I can tell you it all sounds amazingly delicious. Also they have homemade bake goods — brought a piece of carrot cake home for my boyfriend and I to share and it was so good. We will definitely be coming back to this cute café.

I had a black coffee and a mars slice, a play on a caramel slice. It was a bit dry. The coffee was decent. My friend had an iced tea concoction which she loved and I wished I went for that! Very cute and bright interior, we seat outside which was lovely in the Glasgow sun! Very friendly service, I would go back to try different options as I was a bit disappointed with the snack.

Toothachingly trendy, it’s hard to miss Oscar and Holly’s bright, cutesy frontage which wouldn’t look out of place in the like of Austin or Williamsburg. Instead, it’s plonked bang in the middle of one of Glasgow’s most affluent areas and has become a popular retreat for locals, many of whom retire here for the day with the Sunday papers. And it’s very much a case of what you see is what you get. Trendy seats, designed for posteriors considerably more slender than my own, fairy cakes and milkshakes, Oscar and Holly’s isn’t just another coffee house, but rather a Hubba Bubba bubble of treats which those from the surrounding areas have taken to their heart. With large floor to ceiling windows, it also represents an ideal people watching spot. You may not spot the same celebrities as you would in the aforementioned US locations, although TV lawyer Austin Lafferty does have an office next door so you may see him. Try to calm yourself.

The large windows, white walls, evident light, bright interior and cutsie font of the name(not to mention the name itself) had already bewitched me before entering. I was sold. Every time we visited Café Circa across the road my friend and I promised each other that this cute corner café would be our next venue, next time because«it looks so nice». I managed to finally pop in for a cup of tea and wasn’t disappointed. What you see is what you get. Lovely cakes, lovely tea, lovely surroundings. Just lovely especially on a summer’s day.

This is quite a cute trendy little place, all glass and white walls — it gives you a strange sense of privicy in the winter months however when the windows steam up! I came here for a coffee or two when killing some time waiting to meet a friend, and the service was very attentive and friendly, but not at all pushy. They have a selection of tasty looking tray bakes, and serve lunches and after school early dinners(I don’t think they’re open too late) and is a popular little place for mums taking their kids out after school for a juice or milkshakes. Worth a visit if you’re in the neighbourhood — even just to say you went there, the name is quite hip sounding!
