This is a really nice little shop selling all kinds of items for babies, young children and new parents. Although the shop is relatively small, I liked the way it was set out and enjoyed browsing the items. You’ll find a great selection of toys, clothes and gifts to suit a wide budget range. From having a look round — and then a chat with the owner to confirm — it’s clear that a lot of thought goes in to selecting the stock on display. I think that the prices are great, especially for the quality and /or uniqueness of the items for sale. I liked the range of wooden toys, gorgeous jellycat stuffed animals and percussion instruments(bright coloured maracas and tambourines!) but you’ll also find change bags, babygros, books, etc. The owner Rosie is just lovely and happy to help.

Rosie Cheeks is the one-stop shop for your baby needs. Now, let me clarify that by saying that if you’re looking for a baby gift for someone else, then this is the place. But, if you’re expecting, this is also the place. It’s all baby-rific in here, without being ‘cutesy’. You can easily find something practical, or something memorable to mark the occasion. I saw, with some fascination, a ‘baby food maker’ which looked a bit like a garlic press, but for veg. Ingenius! Building blocks, learning toys, and yes, fluffy stuffed animals. They even have prams and bassinets, plus over-the-shoulder carriers. When I arrived, one of the shop assistants was helping a pregnant woman pick out things she would need once the baby was born. The way she doted on the customer showed me just how much they care and not necessarily just trying to make a sale. The prices are reasonable, depending on what you’re looking for. A set of building blocks was under £20, while a sterling silver baby rattle was £40. They cover a wide spectrum of all things baby(or toddler), so if you’re having a problem finding what you’re looking for, or better yet, aren’t sure exactly what you’re looking for, then chances are, Rosie Cheeks will have it.

Aww, this store is very cute indeed, a couple of weeks ago I nipped in here with a friend whose cousin has just had a little baby girl. It definitely isn’t everyday baby clothing as you wouldn’t want the gorgeous little outfits ruined by food stains especially as it’s not ridiculously cheap. They also have a huge range of very cute baby toys that all look very unusual and handmade, very sweet. My friend opted for a gorgeous photo album for her cousin so she can store all those wonderful memories of her little angel before the terrible teenage years kick in.

I wish my friends would hurry up and have babies because I am dying to have a reason to buy something from this adorable store! This store is quaint and old fashion and looks more like a gift shop than a kids toy or clothes store as everything is displayed beautifully and a lot of it is breakable. it’s not really a store you could let the kids run riot in! Rosie Cheeks isn’t a store for practical gifts for mummy and baby but sells lots of lovely sweet gifts. For example you could give mummy a practical 8 pack of white baby grows from Mothercare but liven up the gift with one of Rosie Cheeks cute memory boxes and that way you’ve bought something useful and something a little bit different and special also.

Rosie Cheeks must’ve just opened this weekend since I saw the owners painting it the other day. I’ve been excited about what it would stock since I saw them cart a rocking horse through the door one sunny afternoon. I was not disappointed. What a lovely, breezy wee baby boutique! For a smallish outlet they’ve got a wide variety of toys, knitted bauble hats and a selection of stuff for mum — perfect for mother’s day, actually! With the wooden, quaint looking memory boxes, padded luxury photo albums and trinkets, they’d be great gifts to give to a new mother. There was a pink plaid rocking horse, the one I’d seen earlier in the week, that I was very tempted to sit on but resisted as i would probably break it in half! It would be a gorgeous present for a wee girl, though, but even nicer for mum since it’s as pretty as it is practical as a kid’s toy. There’s lots of wee tea sets and play groceries so kids can play make believe at being an adult for a wee while. This shop is a great addition to an area of Great Western Road that is swiftly becoming a shopping paradise for new families! Rosie Cheeks is a nice sister store to Peace and Jam as it offers stuff the kids can enjoy. But if you have a wee peek in I can guarantee the adults will enjoy the peachy selection just as much!
