was drunk when i entered this place. music was good and so was the people (even a few grannies haha). we couldnt find a seat anywhere because our feet were killing us and staff gave us VIP wristbands to get a seat :) woooo :)

This is a disco nite club that plays all the favourite popular dance records of the day. In between there are some of the classic dance records of previous days.
I was in Sunday night and it was reasonably busy but the DJ tells me that on Friday there was over a thousand people in. On Sunday nights all the drinks are only £1.20, (which could have something to do with how many turned up on a Sunday night, and how many were getting merry).
It doesn’t cater for the hip-​hop, R & B crowd, (although they did play a couple of Beyonce tracks). It’s dance dance dance, and the crowd loves it. Not many posers either, just people out for a laugh and a drink and a dance.
The place had been done up since I was last there; the DJ booth has been moved right over to the centre, at the side of the dance floor. The lights are really good, and the night that I was in, they were well operated really well.
There was a little cat-​fight in the middle of the dance floor, but the bouncers cleared it up quickly enough. (I guess I shouldn’t lead two girls on at once)
It opens at ten thirty and closes at three. Great place to go on a Sunday night for a dance. The DJ Jimmy Hughes knows all his job and keeps up-​to-​date with all the new stuff and does requests too.

If i could give this club 0 stars I probably would. This is probably one of the worst clubs I’ve ever been too. I’m not a snob but when people walk up asking if you have any drugs then I know it’s not really a club I want to visit again. The music isn’t really to my taste either as it’s great songs that have been turned into a clubland mix, drink isn’t cheap and nor is it cheap to get in. There is quite a big queue to get in on weekend nights and the place fills up pretty quickly .They also don’t do any brand names of alcohol it’s just your standard alcopops in every flavour and cheap spirits. I can honestly say that I will never visit this club again.

Whole heartedly agree with another review on this page, entering the savoy was a big mistake, PAYING to enter the savoy was a MAJOR mistake. The club itself is great, spacious, great layout, nice big dance floor to move about and plenty of seating to enjoy a sit down when you are boogied out. However, the people let it down, young girls, short short skirts and guys who are drooling all over them from the minute they step in.
They also do not do brand drinks, but instead fill their punters up with cheap nasty alcopops that I have never heard of.
I was offered free entry the next time I went, um dont think im ever going to use those though. EVER!

the place isnt too bad — if you go with a group of friends and are up for a laugh and a dance to cheesy dance tunes its alright. it can get really busy so pick a good spot to dance that is good for getting to the bar/​toilet/​dance floor.
