My Mother used to go to the Bingo next door to the Sefton, one night she left at halftime to have her usual quick drink at the Sefton then quickly back to bingo. As she approached the pub door there was a big explosion and she was thrown across the pavement she got up then ran back to the pub where she saw the barmaid in flames, she took her coat off and dowsed the flames then went straight back to the bingo. There was a report in the Scottish Daily Express next morning and actions were mentioned , her name was Helen (Nellie) Buist. I'd love hear of anyone else's memories, This would have been around late july early august 1967.
