The korma I had was so watery and I did not enjoy it. The nan bread was burnt. I was very disappointed as I had heard great things. I will not return or recommend it to anyone else.

I remember when Shimla Pinks was in the Glasgow Hilton, now residing in Pollokshaws road. This was the first decent indian food that l had when moving back to glasgow even better than Ashoka. Good selection of food and drinks if you are unsure ask the server and he will recommend a dish or two to try. The décor is lot’s of blacks and pinks in colour nice and bright and not in your face as some places are. Highly recommend Shimla Pinks if you are ever looking for authentic indian cuisine.

Good Indian. We were enticed in by an offer on Living Social, well worth it! The Pakora platter which was part of the deal was average, however the two main courses, a Chicken Dhansak and a South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken were both fantastic. Attentive but not overly-imposing service, just right! Will definitely be going back in the future, voucher or not!

The food was quite tasty, service was OK but they said one of their chefs hadn’t turned up that day. People at the table beside us only got their main course five minutes before us even though they had arrived an hour before us. It may just have been a one-off tough night. I don’t have any particular complaints — it was fine… just not brilliant. If I was joining a group that was going there I’d be happy enough but I’d probably choose somewhere else if I was going out with my wife.

I always like a restaurant that doesn’t bang you over the head with its ethnicity. Don’t get me wrong – I am also fond of a giant statue of Shiva, but sometimes it’s nice to be surprised. Shimla Pinks is a sleek and shiny restaurant done in pink, black and white. It’s got the feel of an early 90s rave, while serving up some tasty Indian classics. The food isn’t revolutionary but it’s reliably delicious with assertive spiciness. This is a great spot for a fun night out and guaranteed excellent food.

Very nice food and definatley worth the stop on pollokshaws road. i had the chicken tikka massala, was a standard dish but was very tasty, they also do a takeaway service aswell. The lunch deal is also really amazing. Highly reccomend

Shimla Pinks is one of the classier Indian restaurants on the road to Shawlands: not quite Balbir standard, but a step up from the plethora of cheap and cheerful places in Govanhill and Pollockshields. It is a discreetly decorated sit in venue, offering lunch specials and an a la carte in the evenings, and the décor is subtle, if slightly dated(think hip 1980s, all clean lines and chrome chairs, with blinds across the windows). The curries are a cut above the average: not massively originally, but less like soup than many of the competitors: the meat is fresh and tasty, and if the sauce is a little over-spiced and unsubtle, it rarely gets too hot or aggressive. Because of its location, near Queens Park but on a major road, it is not the most peaceful venue, and less likely to be a romantic date than a more formal meal: I take family members here for a fair priced and reasonable curry.

Really yummy Indian food. I am glad I came here with family for a special occasion thought because it meant I didn’t have to pay. I think it was about £8 for a main dish, about £4 to £5 for a starter. I had a keema biryani which was absolutely delicious. Odd décor(pink, funnily enough, and chrome, and black), but that doesn’t detract from the tasty treats that are on offer. Will go again.
