As the previous reviewer has stated there does seem to be something of an issue with staff smoking in the doorway, which irritates me no end, it just stinks and sends out a really poor message. As a rule I have only really bought the occasional newspaper or packet of sandwiches from this place and the prices seem to have more in common with a motorway service station than a high street shop. My main concern in this store though has been out-of-date produce, namely sandwiches, and the look of ‘so’ when I bring it to the attention of shop staff. Ok in a pinch, but I generally avoid.

This has got to be the worst Spar in the world. The Lotto machine never works, and it takes 3 or four staff to stand around discussing it every time it breaks down. The prices in the place are shockingly high. It does the odd good deal, but you will notice price rises in other places to cover it. My personal favourite is leaving two day old sandwiches out,(£2.20 for a cheese sandwich anyone) Also don’t expect a newspaper after 9pm because they will all be tied up and you wont get one. The staff are friendly enough. But they like to leave one staff member on at lunchtime, while the rest are having cigarettes at the front door. shame.
