Was in here not so long ago and couldn’t wait to get out the door again. Punters were chanting and grunting sectarian songs and the atmosphere could best be described as ‘menacing’. Surly bar staff and unpleasant clientele made this an unfortunate visit for me — maybe I was just unlucky and caught the place on an ‘off’ day but I doubt it. The mob who were in there that day reminded me of the zombies in the ‘Sean of the Dead’ movie, only these characters weren’t in the slightest way funny. At one point I was in fear of my personal safety which hardly makes for a pleasant pub visit ! I most certainly will not be back in here.
